Christ is Born! Glorify Him! We all had a really busy Christmas visiting our family. Noah had a great time singing Christmas songs and learning about St. Nick/Santa. We are all healthy and well and thankful for all God has blessed us
with this year. May the Lord keep guiding us and leading us through the
new year!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Pascha 2014
Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
Happy Easter,
Nett, Nelson, and Noah.
What a wonderful Pascha (Easter for our protestant and Roman friends) the Chases had. Our celebration started with Great and Holy Friday. On this day we remember the Lord's Crucifixion and Death on the Cross for our Salvation.
Dad was the reader at the Passion Matins in the morning. Mom and Noah joined dad for the Ninth Hour at the foot of the cross in the afternoon.

We worship Thy passion, O Christ. We worship Thy passion, O Christ. We worship Thy passion, O Christ. Show us also Thy glorious resurrection. |
On Holy Saturday, mom had to work so dad went to church for Jerusalem Matins and grandma and grandma watched Noah. Then we went and celebrated Aunt Ashley's 29th birthday.
On the Feast of Feasts we got up early and went to Church for Paschal Matins and Divine Liturgy. We drove up as the procession around the Church was just getting started. It was very moving to sing, "Christ is Risen from the dead, by death he trampled death, and to those in the tomb he grated life."

After Liturgy we went downstairs to the social hall for the blessing of the Paschal baskets.

Later in the afternoon we went to Aunt Ashley's for Easter dinner and an egg hunt.

Noah had a long but exciting day. Glory to God for His Son.
Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen!
Happy Easter,
Nett, Nelson, and Noah.

Noah at the Zoo
Grandpa Chase, mom, dad, and Noah went to the Zoo, while dad was on vacation. It was Noah's first of hopefully many visits to the world famous San Diego Zoo.

Noah seeing a goat for the first time at the petting zoo.
Noah is looking at the goat and wondering, "what is that?"
Grandpa's favorite animal, a meerkat. You can see dad's and grandpa's shoes reflected in the glass.

Just a couple of monkeys on the monkey trail.
No trip to the zoo would be complete without a visit to the orangutans. (mom's favorite animal at the zoo)
Grandpa and Noah. Two peas in a pod.
"This is a tree Noah."
Mom, Noah, and her friend the orangutan.
"Say hi Noah."
We sure had fun with grandpa at the zoo. Afterwords, we meet grandma for dinner at El Pollo Loco. We are very blessed to live so close to Noah's grandparents.

Guess who is ready for Halloween?
Hello Friends and family,
It has been too long since our last post. Noah is now almost seven months old and is getting ready for his first Halloween! The decorations are out and the house is ready for "spooky time," as dad likes to say.
